Thanks so much for writing for me, and for taking a look at my letter! I'm requesting fic for all fandoms. DNWs, likes and prompts are all below. All prompts are just suggestions and should be taken as such - let your imagination run wild!

I have more ideas/prompts for some canons/pairings than others, but I would be genuinely excited to get anything in this letter, regardless of whether I've written a long or short section on it.

• Ensemble casts - I love all the Rogue One characters, so including them is great.
• AUs totally welcome, provided K-2 is still some kind of AI. 

• Cassian & K-2SO | Cassian/K-2SO
  
  • I like anything that deals with their shared history: how did Cassian reprogramme K-2? What were their early days together like, with K-2 adapting to life in the rebellion and learning how to navigate his own independence and growing personhood? Did others in the Alliance mistrust him, and how did they navigate that?
  • How does K-2 feel about what Cassian did, and about changing sides? Does he ever wonder if their friendship/love is something that Cassian programmed him to want? Does K-2 "belong" to Cassian, and how do they navigate that?
  • Slow burn developing friendship and/or romance - K-2 has never had a friend (maybe never had the capacity before), never mind anything more than that. Cassian is very tightly controlled and not the most open or vulnerable. I love anything where they learn to trust one another and open up.
  • Mutual badassery and protecting one another - Cassian would do anything for the rebellion, and K-2 will always protect Cassian. 
  • If they survive Scarif, and the war, into the New Republic, how does that go? Being an Imperial droid is useful when you need to infiltrate the Empire, but when the Empire's been defeated, where does that leave you?
  • Navigating sex and intimacy with a droid must be a little bit weird, even if you're into it. It must be pretty weird if you're the droid in question. I'm always here for robot sex!
  • If you go shippy, I love things that focus on the size difference between them.

 

• Bodhi & K-2SO | Bodhi/K-2SO
  • I am pretty into the idea that Bodhi and K-2 have a lot of shared experiences related to their time with the Empire, both of them as cogs in the great machine who managed to get away and strike a huge blow. Bor Gullet messed with Bodhi's mind, and K-2 would have experienced reprogramming and memory wipes at the hands of the Empire.
  • K-2 helping Bodhi adjust to life in the rebellion in a world where they survive Scarif. Or maybe after the war - does Bodhi have to face any trial or punishment for his work for the Empire? What is K-2's status in the New Republic? Can they help one another figure out a way in the new world?
  • In an everybody lives AU, Bodhi has a pretty steep learning curve when joining the rebellion for real. Do people still mistrust him? How’s he coping with any lingering trauma? What sort of place can he make for himself? K-2 has been there, done that, got the t-shirt, and might be able to help Bodhi settle in (in his sassy K-2 way).
  • If you want to go darker: maybe Cassian doesn't survive Scarif, or is killed on a mission, and Bodhi tries to help K-2 process and live with grief.
  • Intimacy: what does that look like, to a droid? Has Bodhi had much of it, and how have his recent experiences changed what he wants/needs?
  • Navigating sex and intimacy with a droid must be a little bit weird, even if you're into it. It must be pretty weird if you're the droid in question. I'm always here for robot sex!
  • If you go shippy, I love things that focus on the size difference between them.

 

• K-2SO/Cassian/Bodhi
  • I like a lot of the same things as for Cassian/K2 and Bodhi/K2
  • One of them is away doing something dangerous, the other two worry and distract one another.
  • Relationships with droids are generally not looked on kindly, so while the Cassian/Bodhi side of things can be fairly open, K-2 really can’t be. Tension!
  • If two of them have been together for longer, one of them teaches the newer person what the third person likes, i.e. exactly where to find the most sensitive sensors in K-2’s wiring, or K-2 giving some extremely blunt, not-very-sexy sex advice (he would either be the best or the worst sex advisor).

 

• K-2SO
  
  • Does his Imperial programming ever reassert itself, or attempt to reassert itself? 
  • I'd love to know more about his relationship with other droids in the rebellion - does he have any friends? Do they trust him? Do droids have complicated social lives that the organics just don't understand?
  • What does he think about the other KX droids or other Imperial programmed droids they encounter? He hacks into one of them in Rogue One - does he have any particular feelings about those situations? Has he ever tried to free another droid, or does he even want to?
  • He actually does reprogramme another KX droid - how does that go? Does the other droid appreciate it? Does Kay help them figure out this whole thing, or does he want them to learn things entirely for themselves?

Request 2: Star Wars Crossovers

Fandom likes:

• Droid independence and personhood. Droid rights!
• Characters being competent and smart
• Mission fic
• Ensemble casts - feel free to include other non-requested characters that would make sense for the requested characters (i.e. R2-D2, Lando, Cassian, the Mandalorian, Hera, etc.).
• AUs totally welcome, provided the droids are still some kind of AI.
• Prefer L3-37 to still be embodied, rather than loaded into the Falcon, but if you'd like to go that route I'd still like her to have a sense of self.
• Feel free to handwave the canon timeline. I tend to take it as a guideline rather than a rule, so definitely happy for other people to do so. 

 

• Chopper & K-2SO | C-3PO & Chopper & K-2SO
  • They all get sent on a mission together for some reason - how does that go? Do they get on, or is there a lot of bickering and annoyance? Something that focuses on their very different personalities and approaches to life.
  • Chopper and K-2 are the saltiest, grumpiest droids in the whole rebellion and I want them to team up for some reason.
  • I can't imagine that K-2 or Chopper are very good for C-3PO's endless anxiety, poor guy. How does he deal with having to work with them? He's sometimes a bit bumbling in canon, but I'd love 3PO to have a bit of a win, where he's essential and useful.
  • Something set soon after Cassian brings K-2 into the rebellion - how do other droids see him?

 

• IG-11 & K-2SO
  • Either set before IG-11 is reprogrammed, or afterwards in an AU where both he and K-2 are alive - happy with anything!
  • IG-11 helps K-2 get a blaster, even though he's not allowed one
  • Commiserating over looking after organics
  • Being reprogrammed is more complicated than organics seem to think
  • Pre-canon meeting: IG-11 is hunting a bounty, K-2 is on a mission. They have to join forces.

 

• The Armorer & L3-37 
  • The Armorer telling L3-37 about Mandalore and the Mandalorians - does L3 find their history of rebellion and uprising inspiring?
  • L3 is still trying to finalise her body. After L3 helps her in a tricky spot, the Armorer makes her a special piece as thanks.
  • Does the Armorer have any hang-ups about droids, after what happened to Mandalore during the Clone Wars? L3 has Thoughts on this.
  • Sparring

 

•  Cara Dune & L3-37 | Cara Dune/L3-37
  
  • Feel free to mess around with timelines as needed
  • An inadvisable, dangerous adventure!
  • Initial wariness turning to mutual respect and maybe more 
  • Sparring! Cara challenges L3 to a fight.
  • Fun, no-strings-attached sex.

Request 3: The Clone Wars

I have only just finished watching Clone Wars for the first time, and I kept wanting there to be more to the B1 droids - they were pretty much comic relief and canon fodder, so I'd like there to be something that gives one of them a chance to be something else. The nominated tags are shippy, but I would be equally happy with a platonic interpretation of them, or pre-shippy.

• Domestically-Inclined B1 Droid/Jaded CIS Human Mechanic | Abandoned B1 Battle Droid/Clone Trooper Left for Dead 
  
  • I really like slow developing trust and friendship, working through misunderstandings, characters slowly learning new things and having to see others in a different light.
  • Characters realising that they like/are good at/can enjoy new things that they've never been allowed to experience before.
  • Bickering, sass, snark
  • B1 droids realising that they are individuals, struggling with the ability to make their own decisions. If the B1 droid is the only one of their battalion left, do they miss the others?
  • Characters claiming their own identity: naming themselves, making decisions they wouldn't make before, etc.
  • Closed-off, repressed, jaded characters slowly learning to let someone in, to trust someone with themselves, allowing themselves a bit of happiness.
  • Hijinks and adventure - having to escape from somewhere, or break into somewhere, or steal a ship.
  • Finding common ground with someone you never expected to find it with.

Request 4: Murderbot Diaries


I really like the canon tone of Murderbot and Murderbot's narration, but if you want to go for a different tone or a different POV that would also be great!

I'm not fussy about Murderbot's pronouns. I tend to use they/them even though they use 'it' because 'it' seems so dehumanising (even though Murderbot isn't human, but y'know), but go with whatever makes the most sense to you! I'll use they/them throughout the prompts but I seriously don't mind other options. 

I would prefer for Murderbot to keep their canon lack of sexual/romantic attraction and interest.

Note: as of writing this letter I am reading the fourth novella, and will be completely caught up by the time works are revealed, so my prompts may not take into account future canon. Don't let this stop you taking it all into account when writing, as I'll be prepared!

• Murderbot
  
  • Anything to do with The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon, either serious or cracky. Does Murderbot come up with their own storylines? Write fanfic? Are there the equivalent of discussion forums?
  • I love the way Murderbot reluctantly cares for all their humans and other bots. Anything with Murderbot taking people under their wing and protecting them.
  • Murderbot being cared for and not knowing how to Deal with this.
  • Canon-typical adventure, with cool robot stuff, futuristic tech, hacking, etc.

• ART & Murderbot
  
  • ART and Murderbot go on another adventure together. Snark and banter!
  • ART helped Murderbot out quite a bit when they first met. Murderbot (reluctantly, sort of) returns the favour.
  • Arguing about their favourite media.

• Dr. Mensah & Murderbot
  • After the events of the first book, how does Dr Mensah's opinion on AIs develop? 
  • Murderbot and Dr Mensah talk about human/bot differences, and learn more about one another's experiences
  • AU from the end of the first book - Dr Mensah tracks down Murderbot. Adventure? Bonding?
  • Something bad happens to Murderbot, and Dr Mensah intervenes to help them. Cue awkward Murderbot, with reluctant emotions.
