Thanks so much for writing for me, and for taking a look at my letter! I am really looking forward to this exchange, as pining is my #1 favourite trope.

I'm requesting fic for all fandoms. DNWs and likes are all below. I've given some prompts for a few freeforms, but they are just suggestions and should be taken as such - let your imagination run wild! 

I have more freeforms for some canons/characters than others, but I would be genuinely excited to get anything in this letter, regardless of whether I've written a long or short section on it.

Fandom likes:

• Éowyn's combination of strength and melancholy. High-hearted and fiercely loyal, but longing for independence.
• Faramir's wisdom and compassion, and how willing he is to look beyond first glances and truly see another person.
• Strong sense of place and history. Beautiful landscapes. 
• A sense of a fading world, but beauty remains, and more beauty can be discovered and built.
• The healing power of nature, and of rebuilding (I love that Ithilien is transformed into gardens, and that Sam is able to heal the Shire through the power of gardening, and that Aglarond is transformed into a dwarf paradise).
• Éowyn learning that she can be a strong shieldmaiden without self-destruction.
• Faramir learning and accepting his own worth (his "quality" as Sam puts it).
• Horses. I love the Rohirrim for their love of their horses.

Fandom likes:

• Ahsoka's committed principles, even when she's left the Jedi Order
• Ahsoka's loyalty and strength sometimes leading her wrong, and that she has to make difficult choices. The Dark Side calls to her, but she is clear-sighted and strong enough in her convictions to resist.
• Working out complex emotions via lightsaber battles
• Everything about the Maul/Ahsoka encounter in "Shattered". It launched this ship for me. 
• Maul being super dramatic and craving revenge, validation, and power.
• Drawing similarities between Ahsoka and Maul, as ex-Jedi and ex-Sith, both of them feeling betrayed and abandoned - the strangeness of hatred mixed with a deep understanding, and the knowledge that your enemy understands you on a fundamental level. 
• Characters being drawn together despite themselves, seeing the good/bad in one another, and trying to persuade them to your side.
• I really enjoy both the high drama space opera stuff in Star Wars, and the more light-hearted stuff (for example, any time people have to team up with Hondo? I love it).

Fandom likes:

• First: I am very much a Lost apologist (I love the final season, the Sideways conceit, the ending, and I don't think anything necessary went unanswered). I have a problem with some things (most prominently for these requests is the end of Michael's arc, and Sun/Jin's deaths), but I am mostly completely on board with the direction of the show.
• Canon-typical weirdness, including time travel
• Characters being competent and smart
• Mission fic
• Ensemble casts - feel free to include other Losties!
• A real sense of place for the Island, almost as though it's an entity in its own right
• Characters having to learn and grow and change through their experiences on the Island, and grapple with their pasts
• Meditations on faith and loss and trauma through weird Island mystery stuff. I love that the story usually works in service of the characters and their journeys, rather than vice-versa.
• Weird history of the Island, especially Dharma. Season five might be my favourite season.
• Sun as a smart, ruthless, competent woman - I love that the show deconstructs the first impression of her as meek and passive. I love that she's a liar (knocking out Ben and then, "I lied?" Brilliant.) I love when she buys a controlling share of her father's company. I love that she and Jin can hurt one another and forgive one another.
• Michael as someone who desperately tries to do the right thing, but he can be impulsive and impatient. He loves his kid but struggles to connect with him, and he's trying to figure out who the hell he is as a person and father. He fucks up, but he always tries, and he always wants to make amends. Also: I like that he starts learning some Korean (even if it is mostly "faster" and "idiot") - maybe he can learn more Korean and help Jin with his English.
• Jin has spent years pretending to be someone he isn't, trying to balance expectations of Sun's father with his own moral compass, and he has a deep sense of shame about his own background. I love how his time on the island starts to free Jin up (some of my favourite Jin moments: sailing out on the raft, telling Korean ghost stories, his absolute delight when Hurley starts the Dharma van).

Freeforms:

• Character A pining silently so characters B & C won't feel guilty for not returning their affections
• Character C pines for Characters A & B who are in a relationship/married
• Character C pines for characters A & B who are together - leads to polyamory
• Pining while stuck in a time loop (Time travel is one of my favourite parts of Lost - a time loop from season 4, on the freighter? A season 1 time loop around the raft building and launch? Anything goes!)
• A dies before B can confess their feelings; B time travels back to fix everything (This could go for Sun/Jin/Michael as well!)
