I am happy for the Doctor and other companions to be included or not, as you prefer! Use the fact that Jodie Whittaker appeared in both as a plot point or don't, I'm happy either way.
I love Moses being taciturn and a little underestimated, while actually being very smart and observant.
Martha as smart and resourceful, patient and compassionate, with a strong sense of her own worth
I want Mickey to succeed. He was so often the butt of the joke and I would like for him to have made his own space in this weird world and struck his own path. And to have moved on from Rose.
I really like Doctor Who when it's being a little weird and silly and fairytale, and I love when it's focused on kindness and wonder at the universe. Attack the Block tapped into a bit of that, in spending so much time showing us the humanity of the kids and people on the block, that they're so much more than they seem at first.

Request Five: The Lord of the Rings

Strong sense of place and history. Beautiful landscapes.
A sense of a fading world, but beauty remains and more can be discovered and built
The healing power of nature and rebuilding (Gimli's speech about the Glittering Caves is one of my top moments in the whole book. I also love Legolas and Gimli talking about how to improve Minas Tirith, and that after the war Legolas takes elves to Ithilien to turn it into beautiful gardens, that Sam is able to heal the Shire through the power of gardening, that Aglarond becomes a Dwarf paradise, etc.)

Legolas's funny, mischievous streak, and that he both seems very young for an elf and yet at other times so ancient.

Request Six: Dracula (2020)

Fandom likes:

Adisa was my favourite character from the mini-series and he deserved a better fate. Can he escape the ship of nightmares and have a better life? Can he find love with someone who cares about him and respects him more than the terrible boyfriend he has in canon?
Adisa: vampire hunter!
I love Victoriana: repression, fog, all the layers of men's clothing.
I also love stories about queer people finding community despite living in the Victorian era, so a story about that would be amazing.
Go as supernaturally spooky as you like, if you want to lean into the Dracula of it all, but please no bad endings! But if you don't want to lean into the Dracula of it all that's fine - I'm more than happy for Adisa to have no more encounters with vampires or weird shit ever again.

Request Seven: Lost

Characters learning to like (and love) someone they never would have expected
A real sense of place for the Island, almost as though it's an entity in its own right
Characters having to learn and grow and change through their experiences on the Island, and grapple with their pasts
Meditations on faith and loss and trauma through weird Island mystery stuff. I love that the story usually works in service of the characters and their journeys, rather than vice-versa.
Weird history of the Island, especially Dharma Initiative stuff. Season five might be my favourite season. Anything that goes into either the Losties time with Dharma or Dharma themselves and what the hell they were doing and how things ran would be amazing
Flash sideways weirdness, especially for characters who are still in the sideways at the end of the show, or how the sideways could have gone differently if things had changed in the real world

Canon Relationship Notes:

Nadia is great, but I fundamentally believe that a huge part of Sayid's arc is learning to move on from Nadia. She's so tied up with his past and his guilt and all the horrors there, and I want Sayid to develop past that and make some peace with himself. He loved Nadia, of course, but he needs to move on. I also have no issues with Sayid/Shannon (except for the fact that she died) - I'm happy for fics to pretend it never happened though, so long as there's no Shannon-bashing.

Happy for Daniel to have had feelings for Charlotte and then move on, or just pretend that he didn't have those feelings and they were just good friends. Both good.

Sun and Jin have a complicated relationship, alright? I'm happy for them to have an open relationship, for Sun to explore other options when she and Jin aren't speaking, for things to happen when they're separated by time and space... I'm happy to go with it.
